November 29, 2007 Meeting Minutes

· Meeting convened at Community Christian Church, George Flanagan hosting- at 7:40 on 11/29/07.

· Attendees: George Flanagan, Cindy Cone, Russ Munyan, Jon Voss, Don Shapley, Verlee Gilkerson, Dave Engle, Tom Carlisle, Warren Vosler, Steve Walton.

· Reviewed minutes of last meeting – minutes accepted.

· Review Financial report.  Deficit balance of $856.00.  (Follow up review on 11/30 – the 4/24 contribution came from George, the 10/2 contribution was from Cindy, and the 10/22 contribution was from North Star Camporee.)

· Naish Chaplains – Russ visited with Kreg and Nathan. Nathan prefers not to return.  Kreg would like to return at half time.

· Don Shapley reported progress on potential grantors.  Two parties in mind.  Requesting one grant of $10,000 and one of $_____.

· (The larger grant is more apt to receive a sizeable amount considering amount of monies available from grantors.)

· Council would prefer we not charge for leathers program.  Bartle Reservation Director David Allen will try to help obtain leathers materials.

· Chaplains:  Possible use of volunteers in conjunction with Kreg at Naish.  Cindy working on list for Bartle.

· Russ has prepared a letter to send to past chaplains asking them to approach their respective churches for 100 dollar contributions.  Warren to provide names and addresses.

· Chaplain / Chaplain Aide Training at Council Service Center on January 5, 2008, from 8AM-12PM. George Flanagan to lead.

· Next meeting January 24, 2008, 7:30PM at Dave Engle's King of Kings tentative.  Will confirm later.
